Carbon Fiber Mast Repair San Diego

Updated 1.31.11 The spinnaker shieve assembly needs to be assessed and repaired - there are complete units available that will "slip right in" to the existing hole.. The shieve pin set in a socket inside that mast that has failed. The fix appears to be a shieve box with a flange that will drop in to the hole, gluing the flange to the mast, and drilling a shieve pin hole in the other side. A new shieve box has been made as one is not available "off the shelf". With the damaged hole repaired, and a longer shieve pin, the assembly will be stronger than the original.
